FOODBANK FOOD REPACKAGING
JUNE 15th, Thurs 9 to 1130am
at the Thurston County Foodbank Warehouse (2260 Mottman Rd). Typically, we take bulk food and repackage it into smaller portions for delivery to local foodbanks and families. Some positions are sit down and easy, while others require standing. Find something that suits you. POC: Lyell Clark
WE DID IT!
On May 21st we held the 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and fun was had by all. Thank you to the army of volunteers, who descended onto the course and made the fundraiser a success.

VOLUNTEER to help out at our local schools. In order to do things like deliver dictionaries to 3rd graders, you need to be a registered volunteer with the school district. Here are two links to get you going. Can get results in one day, although some have taken up to two weeks.

Volunteer at the Lacey Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC). Monday thru Wed, & Sat 9am to noon. Call first to be sure they are open (360) 923-2075. LERC provides used glasses for people who cannot afford them all around the world.

In order to help cook and handle food at our upcoming events this fall (Spaghetti Bingo), you must have a Food Handlers Card. To take the training and the test, please visit https://www.foodworkercard.wa.gov/ Give Lyell Clark the receipt and the club will reimburse you for the cost.
